Baskets

Our Baskets come from several different suppliers who source the baskets direct from their manufacture in Madagascar.

Across Madagascar there is a network of 400+ local artisans and crafts people involved in the design, production and manufacture of baskets that are then exported worldwide.

The baskets themselves are all made from sustainable materials including raffia, rush, sisal and banana palm. The fibres are hand dyed to get the vibrant colours.

The baskets are finished with leather trims and handles that are the by-product from meat production (zebu cow) and are hand sewn to each basket. 

Each basket is manufactured by hand and as result each piece is uniquely individual.

Please note that all sizes are approximate and slight variations in colour should be expected.
